SHOW CONCEPT

What doesn't kill you makes you a valuable asset to some and a target to everyone else.

Killing Me is a dramatic comedy series about a scammer named Bryan Fleming, who's immortal powers might just save his life in more ways than one.

After scamming the Russian mafia, Bryan is sentenced to ten years in a maximum security prison. The Russians, out for revenge, send a man on the inside to murder him. Much to Bryan's surprise, he wakes up only a few seconds later completely unscathed. His immortality stunt attracts what turns out to be very beneficial attention.

FBI agents Nichole and Arlo offer Bryan a deal he can't refuse: work side by side with the FBI, and get out of prison early.

PILOT EPISODE

Dentophobia

Immediately upon arriving in prison, Bryan is stabbed to death and, much to his surprise, he's instantly resurrected back to life. Capitalizing on this unexpected gift, the FBI offers him a reduced sentence if he assists them in catching a serial killer parading as a dentist. Bryan must overcome his fear of death (and dentists) if he ever wants to taste freedom again.

TONE & STYLE

The tone for Killing Me is comedic with elements of drama/action.

The dominant colors for this series are dull green and gray to show the isolation and panic that Bryan feels, as well as accentuate the feeling of being a prisoner. Secondary colors are yellow, blue, and purple to show hope breaking into despair. As Bryan embraces his new role, color comes back into his life.

The style of the show will feature oppressive shots, negative space, and unbalanced shots. Quicks cuts and whip pans will keep continuous action and allow room for comedy.
